Replaced by Allegri which could lead to Ronaldo leaving for PSG

Ronaldo is 36 ffs. He'd just be a signing to sell shirts while sitting on the bench as an impact sub. Juventus fucked up badly by making him a key player rather than someone who had to slot in on merit to what was already there. What's the opportunity cost in players you don't sign or pick?

The Vice President of the Italian Senate has said that Conte's departure from Inter is the "fault of Communism", even suggesting that Suning's belt tightening is part of a state-inspired plot against Italy.

Juninho still looks in good shape - anyone gonna tell Bosz to get him on free kicks?

If they had old US university free substitution rules, he would still be in squads as a specialist

Wrexham. I ought to be able to remember that one, I suppose. But I doubt I will.

Harsh but after Saturday, I suppose I get why the decision was taken. I just hope we don't get a "big name, big character" kind of manager (i.e. a twat looking for one last payday) to turn us into even more of a fucking circus.

Ideally they will look at someone who has experience and success at that level, like John Askey, Micky Mellon or, dare I say it, Mark Cooper.

Hmmm. 2 ex-Shrewsbury bosses there who really struggled at a higher level.

Paul Hurst would be a better bet, although he is currently employed.

Well they won’t get Mickey Mellon, as he’s back on board the Deadly Submarine.

On one hand he did really struggle in League One, on the other I’ve little doubt he would have got us out of League Two last season. And seemed harsh for him to leave the Arabs, so I’ll roll with it, although with 4 players under contract, there’s a job on.

And hasn’t Mark Cooper gone to Barrow?

I really like Mickey Mellon. I'm also quite glad he's not still managing Shrewsbury, but good luck to him at Tranmere. Hope he can lay the 'never go back' hoodoo.

I was genuinely surprised that he's only 49. When he left us he looked about 60.

To the surprise of no one, Adams leaves Morecambe. Expect to see him with a claret and Amber scarf above his head tomorrow.
