Things you don't know if you watch the BBC

I've expressed my hatred of vox-pops before, because they purport to be representative yet you know they are chosen for shock/entertainment value. But there is a way to do this - the US mainstream media has been interviewing people who claim that the election was rigged and have been phrasing it along the lines of: "There's absolutely no evidence that what these people claim is true". It's not quite mocking them but it's making it very clear that they're talking bollocks.
It's almost reassuring that they've finally found a limit to their both-sidesism and a way to fix it. A "There are two sides to this with some people definitely believing one of them that's clearly not based in reality". I guess they actually started on this a few months ago with their Q-Anon reporting.
Maybe the BBC can learn something. I doubt it, though. The BBC seems to have always had a little bit of a soft-spot for anti-vaxxers. Not quite a Private Eye/Daily Mail sized soft-spot, but it's definitely there.

Kuennsberg is such a terrible ill informed journalist.
you’d have thought a political journalist should know something about politics.
all she does is get WhatsApp messages

Thanks everyone.
the A level austerity economics of the BBC - In fact it's not even that, it's the economics of the golf club bar- is particularly horrendous
it's never been cheaper to borrow

The fact that the BBC are still using " the Nation's credit card" metaphor at a time where everyone -including the IMF and the government- has recognised the need for debt is frankly astonishining

The trouble is that no journalist can go on the record criticsising the BBC since they are a major employer with a long memory,
It's also a problem for journalism more generally - the pool of employers is small, and you don't want to piss anyone off
hence Steve Richards "uninitentionally" about sometihng that is clearly an editorial line
