Some jazz-influenced prog this morning, beginning with ‘More Rain’ from Samurai’s self-titled 1971 album. Featuring Dave Lawson on vocals/keyboards, Don Fay flute/saxophones, Tony Roberts flute/saxophones, Tony Edwards guitar, Lennie Wright vibraphone/percussion, John Eaton bass and Kenny Beveridge drums. This was to be Samurai’s only album as they split the following year after mainstay Lawson (my best mate at school’s older brother) was headhunted by Dave Greenslade to join his eponymous new band.
