Happy for Forest but Huddersfield deserved extra time there, at least.

Huddersfield might get an apology like Everton did. Won't do them any good in the Championship as Forest count up the dough.

Moss having a shitshow here knowing that as he's retiring he doesn't need to care about the assessor. Let's Samba take as much time, and any route he likes, to walk off the pitch and milk his injury.

    Probably another penalty there too.

I find the application of VAR maddening at times. That is a clear penalty but VAR rules that a defender can take out someone with a foot trip and not be penalised.

Even my own team, Rangers, benefitted from this in the Europa Final. Every Rangers fan I know expected Frankfurt to be awarded a clear penalty in second half but the VAR person said ref was right to give a corner even although our defender never touched the ball.

Can't quite believe that wasn't given as a penalty.

He doesn't look anything like how I remember Wagner but, if it is, I assume he's had a mid-life crisis or gone in to porn.

Who is the German with the awful hair, moustache & glasses and suit jacket with the bizarre fastening?

There appears to be quite a few Nottingham Forest fans here in the pub.

Wednesday's first game back in the first division after 14 years away was at home to Forest at the beginning of the 84/85 season. I was there and it was a curious mixture of celebration, being out in the sun (it was a gorgeous day) and a massively toxic mutual emnity between fans none of which had any football related content.

We won 3-1 too, though it almost felt secondary

The UDM headquarters was right next door to Field Mill. The Mansfield v Chesterfield game is always a nasty one, even though most of the people involved weren't even born when the miner's strike happened.

I was discussing this with another South Walian of around my age yesterday. I always recall the "Scabs" chant being aimed at Mansfield supporters by Cardiff fans but that's maybe because they didn't play Forest until a long time after the strike. I do recall hearing it a bit at the City Ground in 2003 which was Cardiff's first visit since the mid seventies.
