Horrifying testimony of Léo Cans, head of mission for Doctors Without Borders in Gaza. Here's the translation:
"I was in the north of Gaza this week and I can tell you that it's a terrible landscape, a landscape of apocalyptic desolation. The people are bewildered [...] Everyone we meet on the road asks for help: 'help, help, help!'. Two days ago, I was talking with a colleague of ours who was telling us that his sister gave birth a month ago and this newborn died four days ago because there was no baby formula to give him and his mother couldn't breastfeed him. This little child died of hunger. Today, the reality is that the Israeli army, the Israeli government, refuses to allow baby formula into a city where there are tens of thousands of newborns... There's nothing that can justify this... It's inhumane, it's illegal, and it's an endless nightmare."
