Yes that's an excellent piece, ad hoc, thanks.

Ms F seized the day, as a seasoned PSC activist and encouraged them to shift from mumbling poems into an inadequate megaphone to marching from Burns' statue to the fountain and getting some chants going.

Tfl appear to be closing the majority of tube lines next Saturday to prevent people attending the demonstration.

The timing is a bit suspicious. I'm trying to find out when the date of the closures was decided upon. Can't see anything in the media before 2nd November.
Confirmed, as I suspected, that this was planned months ahead:
The TfL website has a "Planned track closures 6 months ahead" PDF document:
https://content.tfl.gov.uk/planned-track-closures.pdf
Putting this URL into the Internet Archive Wayback Machine yields a version archived July 16th:
https://web.archive.org/web/20230716...k-closures.pdf
which mentions the line closures on 11th November.
