Absolute shitton of NWSL trades pre expansion draft, including Ali Krieger and Ashlyn Harris to Gotham, Kailen Sheridan to San Diego from Gotham, Tegan McGrady and other things to San Diego for expansion immunity, and Julie Ertz to LA

Alex Morgan is being traded to San Diego as soon as the NWSL transaction window opens up again. Orlando Pride also hired Amanda Cromwell away from UCLA to be their new head coach.

Carles Gil won MLS MVP.

The MLS D3 league was announced yesterday, called MLS Next (after the youth setup) Pro. It launches next year with 20 MLS teams (including St. Louis) plus the once and future Rochester Rhinos. 8 more teams join in 2023 including the 4 keeping their reserves in USL Championship next year, which is everyone else in MLS except Montreal. And they're perfectly willing to use it as a test bed for "concepts". 24 game season, 8 make the playoffs.

As of now, team #30 would be Vegas. Phoenix and San Diego are other options.

OKC Energy are being forced to take next year off because their stadium is being renovated by their landlords, the OKC school district.. They plan to be back in 2023.

NWSL draft happened, with a bunch more trades around it, biggest of which was Kristie Mewes to Gotham. Challenge Cup will happen again to kick off the year, then a 22 game everyone home and away schedule.

Angel City have 13,200 season tickets sold.

Yordy Reyna signs for Charlotte as a free agent, as does Harrison Afful. Cincy signs Alec Kann, Brad Guzan's backup, and Miami trades with Houston for Roy Lassiter's kid.

El Paso, interestingly, released the keeper that Portland called up emergently and did pretty well there, Logan Ketterer.
