As far as Anderson goes, the Tories soiled themselves when they appointed him deputy chairman. Despite the fact it's merely a symbolic title it legitimised the language of the speke your branes element of the Tory support who blame everything on immigration and socialism.
The shift to Reform was inevitable with cunts like this, just as it was with UKIP ten years ago.

I'm guessing that Loathsome being spelt with so capital L refers to Andrea Leadsom who she beat to the leadership of the party.

I've said it before, probably in this thread, but part of Anderson coming to prominence in the first place was when a lot of Very Sensible People took his leaving of Labour "because of being purged by Corbyn" seriously, and ignored the racism and corruption that he had actually been kicked out for.

Correct. Leadsom was favourite until criticising May as childless

If more MPs defect, and Reform draw level with the Tories, could this snowball the electoral momentum from a mere '97 level hiding, into a Canadian Conservative degree of meltdown? It could very well reach the pitch whereby Reform don't actually pick up any seats themselves, but their impact serves to make the Lib Dems Leaders of the Opposition, and the new parliamentary Right, purely by default.

The Libdems are currently more left leaning than Kier Starmer's Labour.

Yeah this, in a parliament in which the two biggest parties were Labour and the LibDems, Labour would be the right wing one

The Tories barely have a lead among over-65s now:

Anderson was not only select the labour counsellor, but he was also an assistant to Labour mp ( now gb news presenter) Gloria Del Piero

To steal someone elses line, if 30p Lee moves any further Right, he'll be rejoining Labour.

Kinda, but not how the public (& MSM!) see it...

                        So the Pm says.

I've not heard of James Heappey before. Apparently he's a defence minister. Anyway he's quitting too.

The Tories will be scrambling for candidates at this rate.

It may be true for Ed Davey to aver that, by and large, the Lib Dems aren't in competition with Labour for their own targeted gains, but it seems Starmer would rather win 450-500 seats, rather than tactically leave the field any further open in such areas.

Some things make it clear what sort of seats the Tories are targetting at the moment, like where they are splashing cash on electric buses.

                                          South West £43.4m
                                          South East 30.2
                                          East Midlands 25.4
                                          Nort East 14.8
                                          North West 9.4
                                          West Midlands 7.4
                                          Yorkshire and the Humber 5.7

"Fuck levelling up, let's try and cling on to the south."

That really doesn't seem like that much dublin bus took delivery of 130 electric busses last year. They cost about half a million euro each. This being ireland though, the planning permission for the chargers took until late November to sort out

I mean yes they ate showing favouritism to the south east, but it's still a slightly bigger drop in a bigger bucket, particularly since with tory procurement policy ita not unfeasible that each bus is going to cost 5 million and be bought from Michael gove's cousin, and run on diesel

Oh it's a tiny amount in the overall scheme of things, it's just indicative of their current priorities.

That should read "polling amongst men who vote for cunts because they are also cunts"
