I introduced Mrs. NS to the game today. She chose the starter word and then quickly came up with the third before we'd even really begun to assess the possibilities. When I ran through the options, with "O" probably in the fourth space, ALLOY and ALLOW were the most likely options so we went with the first guess:

COALY and BALOO might be feasible choice on TrickyWordle, should that version of the game ever come to pass, but it'll be a long time before they and their ilk start appearing on the NYT site.

These days I'm generally just slapping in the first five letter word that comes to mind when I open the page. Same for the second, if, like today, I get no hits on the first. I'd probably draw the line if something like NANNY pops up, though.
