    PORTS
    SHOCK
    SLOSH

Nothing wrong with slosh as a word, onomatopoeias are perfectly fine words in many cases.
However I'm not OK with the RH answer in today's dordle,
    reason and answer here: Show
STREP is an abbreviation of streptococcus, not a real word

Exactly. That's definitely not a word

Slosh is a verb as well, that's how someone can be sloshed. And you can plonk something on a table or whatever. And radio and phone are abbreviations but you wouldn't argue they're not words. You lot have a very high bar for what constitutes a word

Lord, that was painful! Probably the longest yet for me. I took an age to come up with a third word and even then took a hit with one that I knew couldn't be the answer.

The longer I struggle, the more my mind starts to tell me that the word must be an obscure one, even though I know it probably won't be:

A solid 4, but the birdie was there for the taking, PURSE was a poor guess having eliminated S on turn 1.

Ha ha. Yes, though I'm less unhappy with today's than yesterday's, for some reason. Maybe I'm just getting used to Dordle's stretching the boundaries of acceptable words (I think that was the one that had FELLA a while back, wasn't it?)
