    Iceland v Wales

At least we can now agree that Toshack isn't leaving out anyone. The team spirit is good. Results have been very good and I think performances have been good for some time.
Are you saying we all agree on all those points?

I certainly don't on the latter three and think Toshack's inept man-management still means many players elect not to be available for us ( Oster still, Collins still, the large amount of pull-outs for "personal reasons" from even the minor members of this squad). It's just that he's driven players away now so selecting them is not an active issue.

It's an old argument that there is little sense in re-hashing but I'll be willing to bet a decent amont of money that our ranking will not rise significantly from it's current 53 in the next four years and that we will not come close to a qualification. All assuming Toshack stays for the next four years of course, should we hire a competent coach/manager at some point I would have more confidence about our prospects.

I'm looking forward to tonight's game, mainly to see who makes the step up. Make no mistakes though, Iceland are more than capable of beating us. Northern Ireland made a right hash of it in Reykjavik a few months ago.

The icelandic singer has made a decent fist of singing the welsh national anthem there. fair play to her.

The commentator made the point that if she can learn it then so can the welsh players. Only Gunter making half an effort to mumble along.

She did have it written down, no doubt phonetically.

i see iceland suffer from 'football small nation being screwed by big clubs syndrome' as well, barcelona refusing to release eider whats his name due to an injury scare. surely he isnt still in barcelona.

like to see them refuse to release puyol for the euros

It's a huge worry for a nation when so many of their players are in contact with Mick McCarthy, isn't it?

too young. crazy to risk him from the start, especially say if it was a really big game, like say the only fa cup final your team will ever reach in your lifetime

                                yea, too young

He's not even on the bench though, is he? He's a perfect second half replacement for Koumas, who appears to be running the side as usual.

Didn't he score a goal just like that for the U-21's , lovely touch.

Only on because of that horrible injury (it looked like a cunt's tackle, need to see the footage at half-time) to Fletcher.

Good to see Toshack taking the chance to switch to two upfront though.

Nasty, cheap shot on Fletcher. Lovely goal from Chedwyn.

Craig Morgan isn't really up to it is he? Otherwise I think we look ok. I don't want to speak too soon, but we're away and we're getting in the habit of getting good results.
