Yes, seconded. I was delighted when I saw the news as it instantly felt like the right pick: someone experienced and sensible who, as LGF observed, has been in the league since 2013 and so knows it inside and out. And, on a personal level, someone who many of us know from several other leagues (with Radomiak Radom Randoms, Just Plain Random, Sixfield Saints etc.) and from all the evidence seems to be one of the good guys in X11. I'm sure he'll do an excellent job and it'll be a seamless transition.
He immediately asked me to be an assistant, too, and almost equally swiftly similarly appointed Granthamian (of Braceby Ladies, Tuvalu Turtles etc.) who's another very good egg. Had I accepted LGF's offer to take over the league myself I'd certainly have offered assistants' roles to the two of them, so happily we've ended up in much the same place without me winding up actually running the thing. It's just a shame there's not that many OTFers there currently.
As I've noted before, I wish I'd found the J4GL sooner as it's a great league, and in an ideal world I'd probably move Tiree Automatic lock, stock and barrel over from the eternally somewhat irritating Xpert Zone. At least SdR's Tobermory and us are likely to be drawn in the same Pro Zone division again next season after winding up 4th and 6th this time around, i.e. 2/3 of the tiny midtable 'safe zone', after all sorts of ups and downs over the course of the campaign.
