Trump will not be addressing the UK Parliament anytime soon, I would guess. May has to somehow try to speak past him to the sane rump of the GOP. Could it become an election issue - Corbyn gets votes by being more aggressively anti-Trump?

One lesson of Trump tweet = careful what you like & share on social media. You may be giving racists & extremists the publicity they crave 1/2
@bbcnickrobinson
For those criticising @BBCr4today for interviewing @AnnCoulter - we did so to reveal & explain & scrutinise the source of the Trump tweet 2/2

Successive Dutch governments for the last 15 years have been calling these people "immigrants" or "allochtonen" and making them the butt of political debate, but when it comes to one upping Donald Trump in the international media, these people are suddenly referred to as Dutch citizens.

Tillerson's not actively insane, but he has been immensely useless - he seems to have spent his time "streamlining" the state department, as if it having no diplomats would make it leaner and more efficient and more profitable; he seems entirely unaware of the fact that running foreign policy isn't the same as trying to make more profit on the oil a subcontractor is drilling out of the ground.
The interesting question is about the supposed suicide pact that Tillerson has with Mnuchin and Kelly.

Cotton to CIA is interesting because it opens up another Republican senate seat for them to defend in 2018. Still in a deeply red state, but Arkansas has elected the occasional democrat statewide (and, of course, long in the past elected Clinton), and had Democrats had the governorship from 2007-2015...

I never really believed in the suicide pact, but I can see Mnuchin taking off once he gets his tax cuts. He hasn’t really been helping (other than as a diversion).
Agreed on Arkansas. I have no clue who Hutchinson might appoint.
The fact that Blankenship announced that he’s running for the West Virginia Senate seat a few days out of getting out of federal prison for conspiracy related to the state’s worst mine disaster in years (29 dead) speaks volumes about current Republican politics.

The question that keeps nagging me about the various tax "reform" plans is this: Do the Republicans actually believe their magic economics, in the face of all evidence. Do they actually think that the economy will grow like crazy and poor people will become rich and government receipts will stay high, if businesses pay no tax?
I mean, are they really that stupid?
Or are they just cynical, and they actually know that it's all total bullshit, but they don't care and are perfectly happy with fucking the economy provided their friends and donors pay less tax. Do they know that they're just using the language of Laffer and Trickle Down as a fig leaf.
I assume it's the latter, what with the reports that Mnuchin never even modelled the consequences of the tax cuts, presumably knowing how damaging the information would be if it got out. But every now and then you hear talk of Paul Ryan and others being true believers...

Do Team Moore have a problem here?
http://www.al.com/news/mobile/index....art_river_home
One of the ministers who serves a Theodore church where Roy Moore spoke Wednesday night was federally convicted of trying to block an investigation involving claims his son molested children in Honduras.
Rev. Bill Atkinson led the music portion of the Moore event at the Magnolia Springs Baptist Church, where the U.S. Senate candidate spoke for over 20 minutes and was interrupted twice by people in the audience.
In 2012, Atkinson was found guilty of obstruction and conspiracy for ordering two of his children to destroy a hard drive of a digital video recorder, which held evidence that incriminated his son for child molestation.

Did any British politician call Hitler an evil racist before 1938? Even Churchill?

"Racist" wasn't really a term back then. "Racialist" perhaps, but it was widely accepted that everyone from anywhere else was fair game for being discriminated against somehow. Liberals were the people who only did it verbally, mainly by making jokes about the "others."
