Cumbria and North Lancs for me which isn't a surprise as my name appears on a lot of o/s maps and is a geographical feature in that area of the country.
My surname is also apparently more common in Luxembourg, per head of population, than it is in my homeland. Which is weird, because not that long ago it was the sixth or seventh most common surname over here.

My wife's last name is pretty uncommon. The top country and regions for it are in Japan, but the top cities are LA and a city in Northern California where her family first came to the US, she likely knows of all of the people with the last name in those cities.

In the World, Gore District on the South Island of New Zealand, which is odd because that's a Scottish colony and my surname hardly shows up in Scotland at all. Must have had one particular distant relative who fathered about twelve sons, or something.
