A mere 88% of the vote for Vladimir Vladimirovitch - more defenestrations must be in order!

It's like playing Championship Manager in cheat mode back in the day. Each season I'd get more greedy, buy more of the best players and win the league by even more points.

Putin is Pep is what I'm essentially saying.

Yet to be officially confirmed, but the opposition PASTEF alliance appears to have won the Senegalese presidential election, while the pro-European diplomat Ivan Korcok leads the crypto-socialist Peter Pellegrini in the Slovak first round.

It's intriguing, in that even if Bildu win most seats, they'll probably find it virtually impossible to find a coalition partner of any size, due to their predecessor's historical links to ETA.

Pleasing to see Vox completely insignificant

                    As in Galicia last month.

It looks as though the HDZ will retain power in Croatia, as while the various left groupings have made minor gains, the right as a whole won 86 out of 151 seats in the Sabor.

The first turnout updates from the Basque Country indicate participation is weakest in Araba/Álava, where the Partido Popular has traditionally fared best, and highest in Gipuzkoa, which has been a stronghold of both nationalist parties, and the Basque language itself.

Early exit polls project a dead heat in Euskadi:

And with 96% counted, so it continues:

                            PNV 27 (-4)
                            Bildu 27 (+6)
                            PSOE 12 (+2)
                            PP 7 (+1)
                            Vox 1 (-)
                            Sumar 1 (+1)
                            Podemos 0 (-6)

And so it finished, which means the current PNV-PSOE coalition remains in office.

Im surprised the PP went up, and PSOE really.

The usual Sumar/Podemos split doubtless helped the PSOE to gain extra seats, and the biggest PP gain, unsurprisingly, occurred in Alava:
