I thought this was going to be about the Methodists, but this is also a good thing.

need to edit my grammatically incompetent title

he was a fortunate man in many ways. he died in his bed in his late eighties without facing justice

and probably without pain. Unlike the hundreds of thousands who were killed and the many others who were tortured as the direct result of his activities

To balance the feeling of unrestrained joy, Bill Cosby's been released from prison.

That is savage and to the point.

Some kind of stupid legal technicality, I believe.

                          Discussed in the Epstein thread

Result of a horrific decision by a prosecutor who went on to represent Trump in his second impeachment trial (the guy who did the disassociative opening statement and then disappeared).

Like Michael Gove's exquisite good manners or Henry Kissinger's love of football, Rumsfeld's great personal warmth when it suited him really is a half micron silver lining.

very strange that I can't see the Epstein thread in the usual way, although I can find it via google search

(That happens to me that way now and again, if a thread is started by someone on my ignore list)

It is good that Rumsfeld's dead, for sure. And a shame he didn't suffer - or if he did suffer a bit, it definitely wasn't enough.

It's also lovely that the Methodists have voted to be Queer, of course.
