A lot of these photos have a Eugene Atget quality.

A mention of this documentary came across my Instagram feed. It airs on BBC4 at 9pm UK time on Monday (1 April) and then will be available on the iPlayer.

It's great, as I probably said in the cinemagoing thread when I saw it

I finally had time to watch this tonight. I definitely agree with Felicity, I guess so that the film is very good. The last 25+ minutes comes undone a bit, trying to cram too much of her life into the end of the film, but there is a 6 minute reading of a letter she wrote (or essay/article) that was some of the most powerful writing/photo combination that I have seen in a film. And it is stunning that she was 24 when she wrote that piece. That bit alone is award-worthy. And her photos are very powerful.
