Indeed, he is a reasonable man in presentation, who rarely uses shock tactics to convey his message, unlike a number of shouty twat politicians. He's also not stupid, so he knows that a slow, steady, regular dose of poison is easier to swallow than a big draught in one go.

Mutterings in today's papers that the Tories are planning another coup d'etat to get shot of Rish! and replace him with Penny Mordaunt ahead of the election. Rish!'s desperate pleading that his mere existence proves Tories aren't racist seems to be the wrong message in Red Wall Tory constituencies, where the USP of the Tories in 2019 was that they jolly well were racist, and proud of it.

Penny's an odd choice for the far right to be rallying behind, though, she's far from "one of them". She's one of the ones the Daily Mail normally describes as a "woke traitor" or something.
