Not exactly the most charming man in the world, and obviously well “old school” with his humour, but he did used to make me laugh out loud at times.

Not my cup of tea, but I do hope he managed to have a good laugh himself when Max Clifford, the author of the false hamster story which hung round his neck like a millstone, got sent down.

Was mentioned on the other thread - as a child I found him hilarious.

As an adult, I found him quite tragic.
