Cook is some way short of facing the most balls in Test cricket, Rahul Dravid the only player to face more than 30000. What a player he was.Comment

Yes, if you cross out the since 2006 line it's very interesting - looking at the averages for example Sangakkara and Kallis stand out as being just slightly more high-scoring than others, while Lara, Graeme Smith and Ponting had the best strike rate per ball faced.
