Acid in the style of David Tudor

Quite a while ago, Derek recommended the Hecker, Höller, Tracks album by Florian Hecker to me. It seems that right up to about now, Hecker's work has been extremely limited and tricky to get hold of. Finally (I guess) Mego have managed to make Florian Hecker's work more available and distributed, in the form of Acid in the style of David Tudor.

It immediately makes sense why previous Hecker works have charted at Wire as albums of the year, and also albums most commonly removed from the CD player. Hecker writes extremely demanding electronic works with no real bass, some rhythm (sometimes) but a whole lot of beeps, echo and life. You really can't do much else except be fully absorbed by the album - if you try to, or want to do anything else, you will have to turn this off.

All or nothing. And certainly an experience.

I thought that at least Derek or the Wing Commander would save me on this one. Apparently not.
