The review of this album in Uncut is ... surprising, considering where it appears. I'm sure quite a few people here would think it was written by me pseudonymously. Let me reassure them that it wasn't.

Joe Wiz is not wrong. This is a very good record. I never expected the main influences on the third Keane album to be Sparks, Bowie and early Spandau, but hey, it's a nice surprise.
