I know that's what happens. you get interrupted, the message screen times out — which you don't know until you try to post. When it's reopened, and reposted it defaults to football. I've done it several times in the past. It's really easy to miss, and very annoying.

Neither of the threads actually contain the post you presumably wanted to make though. Which musician's death did you miss?

Neither of the threads actually contain the post you presumably wanted to make though. Which musician's death did you miss? Here's the original message:

In a time of so many deaths here's one from last November. PF Sloan

Best known for being the writer of this: which is the demo.

But he wrote many more, and better. Me and my mate Tim took the piss out of such "commercial protest" unmercifully. It got to the point where one of us would mouth 'PF Sloan' in class when a teacher made, what we considered, a pretentious or obvious remark and the other would collapse in stifled giggles. We lost touch for decades, when we surprisingly reconnected ten years or so back, about the second conversation we had began with. "Hey, PF Sloan, eh!"

Here's Jim Webb's slightly elliptical tribute. Which, though written decades ago, stands as wonderful epitaph.

Sorry we laughed at you Phil. RIP.

May I recommend this to help you not miss a notable music death.

...or you could keep it 'OTF' and sign up to my Number One in Heaven Facebook page.

                (Or better still, do both.)

                  Sorry, never look at Facebook.

I saw G-Man's earlier acknowledgement after I'd written my original post yesterday evening. I didn't change it, mainly because to me anyway, PFS was moderately significant to my teenage self and wanted to record that. I also rather the like, and wanted to share, the rather frail schoolboy-ish demo of Eve of Destruction.

No problem. The offer was out there for those that do.
