Basically I think the Floyd never bettered their first 2 singles, so:
              1. See Emily Play
              2. Arnold Layne
              3. Matilda Mother
              4. Summer 68
              5. Wish You Were Here

                Echoes
                See Emily Play
                Lucy Leave
                Careful With That Axe, Eugene
                Cymbaline

Do those who like Syd era know the wonderful Relics comp?

No. I'll have to do some searching.

Some nice tracks on there like Paintbox and Julia Dream.

God, I feel bad for leaving Lucifer Sam out, it’s so crazy exciting that starting salvo of Piper At The Gates Of Dawn. But Lucy Leave seems to capture their spirit

The only late song I still really like is Another Brick In The Wall Part 2 which I think the band initially hated but it’s such an anthem

                        This is impossible. But:

                        See Emily Play
                        Julia Dream
                        The Nile Song
                        Lucifer Sam
                        Let There Be More Light

                              Hmm.

                              1. Wish You Were Here
                              2. Money
                              3. Comfortably Numb
                              4. The Happiest Days of Our Lives / Another Brick in the Wall (part 2) (like delicatemoth's no. 5 selection, I've always heard these as one song really)
                              5. The whole fourth side* of The Wall, if I'm allowed it. 'Have A Cigar' if I'm not.

That's quite a 'safe' selection, I know. I actually really liked their early stuff as well, but numbers 1–4 above are the ones I've found myself occasionally singing or humming even years after I last listened to them. And while I know the purist take would be that everything after they became massive isn't as good, I think Wish You Were Here is probably their best album all things considered. I always found it almost unutterably moving, the title track in particular.

*How to tell that even though I'm a millennial, I first heard that album on my mum's vinyl copy!
