So, this track might be the leader in repeat posts (other than a person posting a song more than once, which I think I've also done a few times).

I posted an interview with Chris Robinson in another thread. They have released two songs so far from the new album. One doesn't work for me at all, but this one sounds good. Classic Black Crowes sound.

I had not heard that one before but the title threw me a bit. Winnetka is a fairly typical suburb (unlike some of Chicago's other suburbs, which might be a bit more urban).

I've recently become faintly obsessed with the album ...Like Clockwork by Queens of the Stone Age. When it was released I didn't think it was any good - it didn't follow the desert stoner rock template - but it rewards repeat listening.

Anyway. A slightly queasy love song, with one of the best lines ever written.

Peter Tosh, "Stepping Razor." I probably should post in the reggae thread, but the chorus has been stuck in my head all day so it's an earworm.

Shrill surf-doo-wop from the Rip Chords. Had the 45, played it to death. It's remains in my head most days of the week.

This detail from the Rip Chords' Wiki makes them sound more like an odd couple TV crime drama than a band.

Their moniker, the Opposites, seemed apropos at the time because Bringas was studying for the ministry and Stewart was a private detective.

Amor has in turn given me an earworm of The Showmen's It Will Stand, as on first sight I confused the title with Here I Stand.

Ha! Bringas was the main vocalist. Clearly he was working on his 'testifying' in the conclusion to Gone, a Shangri-las laced follow-up to Here I Stand.

Also a vicious earworm. Songs that, lyrically, are about two sentences long will do that

I don't listen to pop-R&B radio but this is the second time I have Shazamed a song in store and it's a H.E.R. song. I guess I need to listen to more of her music.
