A prediction game with a bit of jeopardy.
I am going to ask eight questions about footballing events over the 2022-23 season. For each question you can give between one and five answers. For your first correct answer you get one point. For your second correct answer you get two points. Further correct answers give three, four and five points. Points for each question are cumulative, so if you provide five correct answers to a question, you will get 1+2+3+4+5 = 15 points. HOWEVER if any of the answers you give are incorrect, then you get zero for the question.
As an example, if at the start of last season I asked the question "Name an English club that will qualify for European competition in 2022-23" and received the following answers:
A - Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham
B - Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Everton, Tottenham
Player A gave three answers which were all correct, so gets 1+2+3 = 6 points
Player B gave four correct answers, but gave one incorrect answer and so gets 0 points for the question
Questions for this season (maximum five answers per question):
1 - Name an English club that will qualify for European competition in 2023-24
2 - Name a team that will be knocked out in the group stage of the World Cup
3 - Name a club that will finish in the top six of the Scottish Premiership
4 - Name a player who will score 10 or more Premier League goals
5 - Name a club that will finish in the bottom half of the Championship
6 - Name a club that qualifies for the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League
7 - Name a club that will finish in the top half of the Women's Super League
8 - Name a Premier League manager who will be in position at the same club for the first and last matches of the season
A maximum of 120 points are available.
