Lovely circling back to my starting word there

The effects of being on the final hole of a tied game. After two shots I was left with tonic, topic, or toxic. I could choose a discovery word and lock in my 4,or go for the guess and give myself the possibility of 3 or 5. With the match on the line I felt I had to try for the 3. And got very lucky

It is the adult word for the smallest finger on one's hand over here, and was also once an adult/adolescent word for the kind of rubber ball (officially a Spaldeen) preferred from Stickball back hen that was a thing.

Picked up a two for TREND followed by a three for TOXIC, back to a four today.

Most irritating, though, is that I somehow managed to completely miss a day last week, meaning I'm now back to a five day streak after a previous 152. Overall I'm 162 not out. I missed a day soon after being pointed in the direction of the game, but it's rapidly become part of my routine so I can't understand how I missed another day after all this time.

I just don't find it interesting, am not sure why.
