    Rogin's Thursday afternoon quiz

What does this (not exclusive) list point to?

Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Preston North End, Chelsea - 1

    Everton - 2

    Sunderland, Arsenal - 3

Charlton Athletic, Manchester United - 4

Number of home grounds used while in the First Division?

Wild guess, but Deepdale is old and Chelsea were founded to give Stamford Bridge a permanent tenant.

Doesn't need to be "first division" but "grounds used to play home Football League matches" is the answer I had, yeah.

Got me thinking, reading about Spurs' proposed new ground (Liverpool's long-mooted one, of course, is surely now never going to built). How many clubs (apart from the aforementioned Preston, Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea) have only ever had the one home, what with the late Victorian era and more recent fads of moving to bigger and better ones?

My dear old Exeter City would make the list 5, at least.

I was going to say Football League, but doing so doesn't get allow one to use the Emirates for Arsenal.

Yet another reason to curse the changes in nomenclature.

Your follow-up question is quite interesting. I think Fulham are another one for the list (joining the Football League after 1900 or so seems to help here).
