Time for the community of sovereign states to learn a lesson from the achievements of trade unionism, I reckon.
Poland seems to be the latest country to be getting its arse kicked by FIFA. FIFA famously insists on national FAs being free from government interference so that they are at the mercy of FIFA's diktat alone. Time to bring the power-crazy behemoth under control I think. In Poland's case I gather the government vs FA battle was to do with Gov't objections to FA corruption. I can see why that might make FIFA a little uncomfortable.
As long as it's case by case, FIFA will always be able to bully the nation states into surrender as the spectre of being left out is too horrible to contemplate. But if the governments of all the nations who are big in footie got together they could give the FIFA scumbags the comeuppance they so richly deserve.
