    Players appreciated more by opponents

On Sunday Joe Hart got rapturous cheers and applause when his name was read out. There was a pause then the announcer said "Number 2, Winston Reid" and he got the customary boo.

I don't think any West Ham fans have really taken Joe to heart so I think it's the first time I've seen an opponent receive more praise from the home fans than his own fans.

    Any other stories like this?

When David Adekola came back to Bury with Wigan in December 1994, he ran straight over to the home fans when he emerged from the tunnel. I think we're the only set of fans who ever truly adored him.
