Recalling that Rangers beat Leeds in the 1992-93 season, was that the last time the Scots had superiority?

Rangers were probably better than Blackburn in '95-'96, though in pure numerical terms Rovers did get more points. Both finished bottom of their groups, but I would regard Rangers 0-3-3 record against Juventus (the eventual champions), Borussia Dortmund (the winners the following season) and Steaua Bucharest (not much) as more impressive than Blackburn's 1-1-4 return against Spartak Moscow, Legia Warsaw and Rosenborg. Spartak and Legia were the two to progress from Blackburn's group, and both were well beaten in the QFs.
