And Sean Dyche. Who was fired from Watford for not being a big enough name for the Championship. Among his career achievements, he has two tellies from Rumbelows as Man of the Match awards.

Why was Dalglish more successful than Keegan?

Well, because he managed the best team in England at the time. Then the richest team in England. Was mediocre at Newcastle and Celtic, and also on his return to Liverpool, but that was overshadowed by the fact that he was "King Kenny" and "One Of Our Own"

And also because most starfish have more tactical awareness than Keegan.

Neither Dalglish nor Keegan really managed at very many different clubs in the scheme of things though did they? And when Dalglish had a more complicated and challenging role, as DOF at Celtic, it all went tits-up quite spectacularly.

Maybe Giggs should go after the Wales job . . .
No way for Wales. He wasn't committed as a player and wouldn't be as a manager.

Wales' next game is a friendly. Giggs wouldn't know how to prepare for one of those.

Snake, did someone inadvertently activate the sarcasm filter?

Dream shortlist for Sunderland: McClaren, Gary Neville, Phil Neville, Kevin Keegan...?

Harry Redknapp has not ruled himself out, apparently, and Phil orange is interested too.

The Mirror says Ally McCoist is interested. Hmm... he did play for them and he wouldn't be asking for exorbitant Redknapp or McClaren wages, I suppose.

The Shropshire Star seems to think Paul Hurst would be of interest. Hopefully, Hurst himself has more sense.

Busy day for the Star's sportsdesk actually, as they're also carrying excited articles about how the current Woves manager (whatever his name is) should be Everton's top choice. Quite why Wolves stories have at least as much prominence in the Shropshire Star as Shrewsbury and Telford stories is another question.

Lots of people in Telford are from Wolverhampton originally, moving there when the new town developed.

Nuno Espirito Santo and according the E&S he's staying.

Oh sweet Jesus and the wee man. Lock up yer decanters as a precaution against Super Ally installing himself at Sunderland. He struggled in the Scottish Championship with a squad on shit tons more wages than the rest of the league put together.

                                            Hence the "Hmm..."

The Sunderland board seems to be so fucked up that they might think it's not a bad shout.

And every club would be lucky to have him. We know that because he tells us himself every bloody week.

And yet Shearer still made a complete bollocks of his attempt at managing.
