Another very exciting Belgian game this afternoon, runaway leaders Brugge against last season’s champions Anderlecht. Very close first half, with Anderlecht dithering to contrive a miss rather than take the lead. Then Brugge scored twice in injury time, the second a calamity for Anderlecht’s goalie, charging off his line only to kick the ball straight at the defender who had the whole thing covered anyway. Cue Brugge striker rolling it into an empty net for 2-0. Anderlecht had nothing in the second half and it ended up a 5-0 thumping.
