Holy shit! There was a French bronze medalist (coxswain) in 1936 who was 12 years old.

In 1900, the Dutch coxed pair decided that their usual coxswain was too heavy and found a local kid to steer the boat to a gold medal.

He was reported to be 7 years old at the time.
