How Many Nations Have Supplied An English Top Flight Manager?

I only just noticed that the Spurs boss is Australian and wondered if that's a new one on the list. Was Argentina the previous nation that was farthest from the UK to supply a manager?

Chile (Pellegrini at Manchester City) would be farther than Argentina

Can't think of anyone from Denmark or Belgium, or eastern Europe. Or anywhere in Africa or Asia, or the Americas outside those mentioned.

Then there was Venglos who was a Slovak, or Czechoslovakian at the time.

Seeing as "nation" is quite a woolly term, Karanka and Emery are Basque

Wikipedia has this for the Premier League era although there won't have been many pre 1992 (Venglos being an outlier)

Scolari (Brazil) had a spell at Chelsea

A debatable category is people who played for Caribbean countries but were born in the UK. If we allow them then Darren Moore (Jamaica). Obviously Jamaica supplied one of his parents, so in that sense...(probably no more dubious than Ireland claiming Mick McCarthy)

It’s a football thing and Northern Ireland is a football thing. Martin ONeil for starters.
