Surely it's going to be hard now to find twelve jurors for a new trial who can swear they've not seen any previous coverage of what came out during this trial or formed any prior opinion? Or have the rules about jury selection relaxed a bit?Comment

Is the former the standard?
It never has been in the US, where some exposure to very high profile cases is assumed and the question is whether the potential juror can still be impartial.
Though you would be surprised at how many potential jurors are completely unaware of cases that have been the subject of "wall to wall" coverage.Comment

My recollection is that UK jurors are asked if there is anything that would prevent them being impartial in a trial, but not if they have any prior knowledge of it.Comment
