    WORST XI from 11 nations

Like the other thread, but the opposite.

I tried to do a Wrexham one but I couldn't get a formation to work and some inclusions seemed slightly harsh due mainly to the fact that they didn't really get many chances. Also, these will be more fun for the bigger clubs... because embarrassment, that's why.

    Liverpool then:

    GK - Itandje (CMR)

    LB - Konchesky (ENG)
    CB - Kvarme (NOR)
    CB - Piechnik (DAN)
    RB - Degen (SUI)

    LM - Diomede (FRA)
    CM - Kozma (HUN)
    CM - Diao (SEN)
    RM - Nunez (ESP)

    CF - Dundee (GER/ZAF)
    CF - Meijer (NED)

    Subs:
    Doni (BRA)
    Jones (AUS)
    Pellegrino (ARG)
    Traore (MLI)
    Whitbread (USA)
    Aquilani (ITA)
    Sahin (TUR)
    Gonzalez (CHI)
    el Zhar (MAR)
    Jovanovic (SRB)
    Voronin (UKR)

    Manager:
    Souness (SCO)

That's not far off a worst XI ever, full stop.

Very harsh. The man bossed Liverpool in the game where Forlan scored the winning goals, got his leg broken, and carried on playing until he couldnt anymore. The man is a Manchester United legend.

What Quinton lacked in technique, he made up in versatility and good old-fashioned fighting spirit.

Liam Miller was Irish, not even 'Irish' like Ray Houghton.

I'd forgotten all about Sahin's Liverpool idyll. And I'm convinced there was half a player in El Zhar, though Christ knows Benitez was not the man to nurture attacking talent.

Mark Gonzales was such a massive fuckin disappointment when he eventually arrived, just like the great never will be Pacheco he was far better when not actually playing. Whatever happened in that Dublin hotel room seemed to fuck up his international career as well.

I'd omit the manager slot so fuckin Charlie Adam could be the Stinking Scot on the list. He could take poor Kozma's place, who at least barely played.

Not too much of a memory test for Villa fans:

Pierluigi Gollini (Italy); Habib Beye (Senegal), Jose Angel Crespo (Spain), Carl Tiler (England), Aly Cissokho (France); Yacouba Sylla (Mali), Carlos Sanchez (Colombia), Eric Djemba-Djemba (Cameroon) Sasa Curcic (Yugoslavia/Serbia); Ross McCormack (Scotland), Aleksander Tonev (Bulgaria)

It's just a problem selecting which eleven nationalities to include, with so many options

Wasn't Theolkitos in goal when Norwich lost 8-0 to Paul Lambert's Colchester?

Yes, it was his first and last match for the club. It was actually 7-1 in the end and he was probably at fault for at least three of the goals, maybe four. Tudur-Jones played too and Maric was on the bench.

The 70s presented a rich bunch of contenders for Spurs

                          Baardsen - Norway

                          Atouba - Comeroon
                          Chriches - Rromania
                          Fazio - Argentina
                          Hutton - Scotland

                          Bentley - England
                          Berti - Italy
                          Holtyby - Germany

                          Postiga - Portugal - 19 games - 1 goal Ģ6m
                          Janssen - Netherlands - 31 games - 2 goals - Ģ17m
                          Rebrov - Ukraine - 59 games 10 goals - Ģ11m

even though Soldardo had a terrible record I still like him.

Fuck we've had some terrible forwards.

A forward line up to light up any transfer window. A couple of those guys were reord or close to record signings.
