Ha, maybe BDG originally wrote 'Fosse', but the Guardian thought the reference would be a bit recherché for the online audience, and got him to change it.
that raheem sterling frame nearly killed my dad. he's like a cross between a little boy praying to santa mixed with someone hoping that the vikings don't find him hidden under a pile of mouldy turnips.
Thank you for your kind words, guys. I was upset about last week’s cartoon, especially as I try to be so careful about that stuff (the typo, rather than the Leicester thing, which I don’t think diluted the impact of the cartoon as much as the ‘court marshall’ thing). Biggest gig of my life and I do that. Still, I eventually managed to uncurl myself to have another go. As terrible as Blatter undoubtedly is for football, he provides a cornucopia of comedy material. Part of me hopes he sticks around forever. In other news, I love drawing Wayne Rooney.
You lot have always been so supportive and remain the audience I have in mind when I put pen to paper. ‘Is this good enough for OTF?’ has always been the benchmark for me.
