Coronation Street (and lots of other things) actor John Savident dies aged 86

Couldn't believe he was still alive tbh, or that he played Fred Elliott for 12 years. Seen him pop up in repeats of Yes Minister and he has a bit part in A Clockwork Orange too.

Trying to recall, but didn't The S*n, on news of Elliott's stabbing run with the front page "I say....I say.... i've been stabbed!" ? - Absolute shower of cunts.

I remember him from Yes, Minister, too - he was Humphrey's boss in the first series, wasn't he?
