I would welcome opinions on a disagreement I'm having about the show in work.

Two female colleagues think that there is unresolved sexual tension between Carm and Sydney.

I think they are a way off beam and that is a hackneyed, cliched and reductive reading of the relationship between the two characters.

For me, the show would be a far different, and lesser, programme if that was an element of it.

I did think, however, that his chemistry with the Molly Gordon character was intense.
