Saw Ulrich Seidl's "Paradise: Love" last night. Worth a look (if you can bear to keep your eyes focused on the screen the entire time), but not really the sort of thing to make you want to burst into a spontaneous rendition of The Sun Has Got His Hat On.
That was the first Ulrich Seidl film I've seen where nobody left the cinema before the end. During "Import Export", people had to be ushered out of the place in tears. And during "Dog Days", one woman stood up and told us that she was ashamed of herself for paying money to watch the film and that we should all be ashamed of ourselves.
I love Ulrich Seidl.
