In Mardi Gras, there are floats that roll by with people that throw beads, trinkets, and stuff. So in the Orpheus parade (the group, or krewe, that Harry Connick Jr founded,) he had the entire cast of Treme on a float. Bunk was on the other side of the float, so I didn't see him. However, Clark Peters, or Lester Freamon on the Wire, was trying to untangle a bunch of beads as he rolled by. Thus, I wasn't able to get a set of beads from him, and wanted to run to catch up to him, but couldn't due to the crowded nature of the crowd, along with the toddler on my shoulders.

Oh yeah, when I said "get in his face," to get something you really want, to really stand out in the crowd, sometimes you have to run right up to the float to get noticed. So by getting in his face, I would have a much greater chance of getting some beads from him.
