Not much to add other than Abebooks is a great site for locating used books in a wild variety of prices and conditions. I usually go for a combination of lowest cost book with lowest cost shipping, cuz I don't care if the cover is mangled.
Also, Callaghan's book is indeed excellent if you like that whole Paris/'20s scene with Hemingway and Ford Madox Ford, et al. And I enjoyed Music For Chameleons but can't recall a thing about it.
That Summer in Paris by Morley Callaghan
The Red and the Green by Iris Murdoch
Death is a Lonely Business by Ray Bradbury
Night and Day by Virginia Woolf
Setting Free the Bears by John Irving
Trustee From The Toolroom by Nevil Shute
At Bertram's Hotel by Agatha Christie
Music for Chameleons by Truman Capote
The Good Earth by Pearl S Buck
