MPs are all IT experts now!

Next up, Owen Paterson - "we can use electronic tagging and virtual invoices for trade across the UK/Irish land border"

You did see Nadine Dorries saying this weekend that she handed out her login details to her staff?

No wonder Putin can influence elections. He’s probably writing CCHQ emails to the Tory MPs.

She said it to defend Green. Very bizarre at best.

It is funny when you hear politicians talking about It security like they have a clue what they are on about.

              Chi Onwurah is pretty good

As an engineer I specialised in building out infrastructure in new markets and standardising wholesale Ethernet access. My last role before entering parliament was as head of Telecoms Technology for Ofcom the Communications Regulator
There must be a few others who know what they're talking about

Sounds like he has an engineering and management background. It does not necessarily mean he is technical.
IT is a varied a field as medicine and a specialist in one area usually knows very little about another.
It is like a cosmetic surgeon claiming to be an expert in healing sick Chimpanzees.

The head of telecoms technology for a regulator is not a position that implies a deep technical knowledge. Just like the Chancellor of the exchequer implies a deep knowledge of economics.

Aha. I stand corrected. Chi is an Ibo name that is usually short for something else (like Jo for Joseph, Jonathan or joanna).
                    My point still stands.

They don't just do that with IT.

                      Nice to see you again.
