UA - I would agree ; the idea that the big two were debt free as everyone around them was a basket case is just not tenable; as with the UK, when the also-rans are fucked, the bigger ones tend to be more fucked. The info I read came from this, BTW.
AIATL - you can't on the one hand blame the members's club structure when even on the rather tenuous figures from Goal, the SAD clubs are responsible for the greatest debt; you admit yourself that the key is strong regulation, which is the same as saying that structure isn't the necessary condition, but governance is.
