Oh man. I hope the Reps keep inviting him to their shindigs, although obviously, I know they won't.

He'll be so chuffed when he gets the first cheque through, not realising it's from a researcher for The Daily Show.

Anything other than "Fuck off" that answers the thread title just makes me sad.

Is the country album actually happening, or was that just a rumor?

May I piggyback this on your thread, GY? It's about Palin, but it doesn't deserve its own thread. It made me chuckle a few times.

Small consolation, Joe the Plumber's tax bracket is going to ratchet up a bit after Obama takes over. Socialism is a beutiful thing.

This story just keeps getting sillier. Conservative please-take-us-seriously blogswarm Pajamas Media ($3m of venture capital behind it, folks) has hired Wurzelbacher as a war correspondent for the Gaza war.

He's going about this all wrong. I won't pay a dime for this, but I'd certainly pay to see him get stuck with spears in a tiger cage, or eat worms while wearing a clown wig, or spend 10 minutes in a swimming pool full of house centipedes.

What I can't figure out is why he's still covered by the AP. It's obviously their shindig to keep him in the pubic eye, but I can't figure it out. I've never seen a more useless man/story/newsfigure than this Judas asshole.

If he goes to the Gaza Strip, he'll get killed. I'm not saying I'm rooting for this, it's just the laws of probability. Somebody that dumb in a place that dangerous cannot survive long.

I don't think he'll be in Gaza, Reed--Israel isn't letting any outside journalists in. The AP does have an office there, though (where he and some other AP journalists that were already in Gaza are living, because their houses were destroyed.)

Intrepid war correspondent Wurzelbacher reporting from Sderot:
"I'll be honest with you. I don't think journalists should be anywhere allowed war. I mean, you guys report where our troops are at. You report what's happening day to day. You make a big deal out of it. I-I think it's asinine. You know, I liked back in World War I and World War II when you'd go to the theater and you'd see your troops on, you know, the screen and everyone would be real excited and happy for'em. Now everyone's got an opinion and wants to downer--and down soldiers. You know, American soldiers or Israeli soldiers. I think media should be abolished from, uh, you know, reporting. You know, war is hell. And if you're gonna sit there and say, 'Well look at this atrocity,' well you don't know the whole story behind it half the time, so I think the media should have no business in it.

You have to admit, he looks very well preserved, for someone old enough to remember something that happened in 1915. No wonder he's senile.
