Time For a New Bike Porn Thread
I won't bother with the obvious ones if you've already gone through this once. Sorry if you've seen any of these already
Pretty pictures

This probably comes closest to bike porn in the literal sense. Nice art direction

God those wheels are fugly.
£500 isn't going to buy a decent front wheel now is it Toro? Maybe a good set of bars but never a whole wheel. Actually, barring wheels and power meters what's the most expensive accessory you know of? There's a single front light I've seen recently at £700+ which has to be up there.

Now that my friends is a fucking drop to the bars! Jesus wept. Well he would have done if he'd ridden that bike. Is it actually possible to ride that?
What is the Cinelli frame made from? Is it yours? It's beautiful but I haven't the legs to do that justice. It's a very unusual (early integrated?) headset.

NO I don't own a Laser, a road version came up on Ebay a couple of years back and sold for $3800, but the days when I had that sort of cash to splash are long gone. But it still remains a long-term goal of mine to own one. I think I would get a road bike, though I think the Track version (the 'Pista') is more aesthetically beautiful.
You certainly can ride them, Francesco Moser broke the world hour record on a Laser, and that was a record that stood for many years. The disc wheels are useless outside of a Velodrome though, I would have thought.

On a related note: here's proof that inline skating is an older sprt than you thought.

My company are seriously considering doing this Ride2Work scheme.
Basically, you buy the bike gross rather than net out of your wages and your company claim the VAT back for you.
You pay it off over the course of a year, so for me a £500 bike would cost £300, paid interest free over a year. That's £25month for a new bike.
Annoyingly you can only do it through Evans Cycles at the moment and they don't sell either brand of bike that I wanted. I was going to go for a top end Marin (I have a Muirwoods now) or a nice Boardman.
However, it's not all bad news. On perusing the Evans site, I found I could get me one of these babies for £556 or £46.50 a month.
Forget your silly drop handlebars, that is the way to travel.

Now this really is filthy

a snip at £72,000. The £4,500 wall mount is an additional extra
EDIT: God you'd think they'd have maybe proof read the description text and spotted the Word formatting fuck-ups when they're trying to charge 80k euro for a push bike. Some very shoddy Photoshop work on the image too...so fuzzy you can hardly see it

I've never heard of Masi bicycles before, but on the days I drive to work, I've noticed on biking commuter that has one, and I thought it looked pretty cool. Nowhere near as cool, however, as some of their other bikes:
