These things happen (thankfully never when I played occasionally in that League). Hopefully the person(s) responsible are treated appropriately (ie, not harangued across SM).

When I refereed in the (South London) Metropolitan League years later, games were regularly abandoned or referred to the Police because of actual or threatened serious violence.
