    Bummer.

Not a comic book fan, but he was cool.

Sad news. Hopefully his last few months were happier than some of the more disturbing stories doing the rounds suggested.

Jack Kirby and various other collaborators might have blinked at his latter day image as the MCU's genial mascot but comics always were a racket that sometimes produced sublime works of popular art and Stan Lee had a hand in more of the good stuff than most.

Yeah, my understanding is that he took partial credit for everything Marvel ever did, including some stuff he had very little to do with.

But he was a great ambassador for Marvel and superhero comics in general.

He’s like the Derek Jeter of comics - Not as important as many seem to think, but still a hall of famer.

We do need to hang around after the funeral however, to see if anything happens next

Stan Lee didn't create Deadpool. There was a bit of a nerdy row about it when he had a cameo in the movie.

His Black Panther movie was good.

Would have been better if he'd done a version of "Robin Hood".
