    Recent musical instrument acquisitions?

I'm seeing a bloke in town later who's selling a 1968 Hohner Symphonic combo organ for €100. Which is a steal. I can now pretend I'm Ray Manzarek (yes, I know he played a Vox).

Haven't told Fräulein Pepys though. Will cross that bridge later.

Bought a trumpet and assorted extras on eBay a few months back. It’s in the loft already.

Just bought a Roland td17 drum module, to add to my Roland electronic kit. The sounds are amazing - the acoustic kit sounds just like the Tama wooden kit I always wanted when I was younger - and I can sample voices/sounds etc and play them on the pads. It's changed my whole approach to drumming, in just 5 days.

Last acquisition was my PRS Alex Lifeson signature model acoustic, which I play only occasionally.

So, of course, I'm seriously considering spending my year-end bonus from work on another electric. Because I'm stupid.

It's morally dubious, but I got a €500 bonus courtesy of Donald Trump. Which I spent on a Yamaha digital piano. However, I have been diligently practising two or three times a week.

That's not stupid. It's entirely rational. (Best to buy a Mike Rutherford Shergold doubleneck though...)

How do you get a " €500 bonus courtesy of Donald Trump"? what did you do- build a wall? stop a black person from voting?

By peculiar coincidence, I bought a cowbell about an hour before this thread was opened.

It was to do with changes to the tax code, allowing offshore earnings to be repatriated

Just do what my wife does: "What...that? I've always had that."

I was unaware OTF had an entire brass section.

We should all come together for a Christmas hornathon. With cowbell.

Bought one of these second-hand recently (a Yamaha Reface YC). It's a terrific bit of kit (well, it's terrific if you like the sound of vintage organs--probably awful if you don't). Pretty dinky, but I've got it plugged into a more orthodox midi keyboard.

I keep threatening to buy a banjo.

Always manage to talk myself out of it though as I know I'd never learn to play it well enough.
